Section 1 — the shape of the trade

Five questions contractors ask first.

  • What does NFPA 25 coverage actually look like?

Every Dripnaut inspection is built around the NFPA 25 chapter on weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and 5-year ITM — component ID, location, observation, corrective action, photos, and the AHJ-ready signature line. The same five fields your inspector is already trained to fill in, in the same order, on the same page. See the pricing tiers for what's covered per plan and the checklist preview for the exact field list.

  • What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your inspections, photos, and timestamps are yours. If you cancel, we keep your records exportable for 60 days, then permanently delete them — no retention bait. You can also export the full record set as a PDF or CSV at any time from inside the app, and we'll hand-deliver a final archive on request before we wipe the workspace. See the feature blurb and pricing for the data-export details.

  • Who owns the inspection records once they’re on Dripnaut?

You do — the AHJ, the carrier, and your customer all read from records your company owns. Every per-property ledger is yours to share (via a public completion-record link), export, or print. Dripnaut just stores and renders them; we don’t resell, license, or repackage your data, and we don’t claim any rights to your inspection history beyond the agreed subscription. See the feature blurb for how the records flow.

  • What does the carrier packet look like?

One signed PDF per property — per-building ledger on the cover page, then every inspection (NFPA 25 ITM), every photo, every timestamp, every corrective action, every signature. The same packet a ServiceTrade-trained office would assemble by hand, generated in two clicks. Open a live, anonymized preview to see the actual layout a carrier or AHJ receives.

  • Can a tech actually run an inspection with no signal in the basement corner of a parking deck?

Yes. Every inspection — including photos and signatures — queues locally in IndexedDB on the device, then auto-syncs the moment the truck is back on Wi-Fi or LTE. Techs finish the bar in the basement and the record is already shipping itself up before they reach the truck. Nothing is lost on a dead day, and the tech doesn't have to babysit a connection.
